Cell Double Click to insert symbol

Hello

i want to be able to create a sheet that goes around for approval and i want to be able to have Managers double click into a cell and the Wingdings 0252 symbol (Check Mark) appears and if they double click again it goes away.

The problem i am having is that they are not using the same approval method each time and this way it is easy, and if it is not done, then i am looking for the same thing each time to prevent the sheet from closing.
