Does anyone have any insight as to why =CELL("filename",A1) is returning <blank>

I had this in a working spreadsheet for years then today when I refreshed the file it is now returning a blank
The full formula I'm using is
=MID(CELL(“filename”,A1),FIND(“]”,CELL(“filename”,A2))+1,255)

but even when I break it down to its simplest form
=CELL("filename",A1)

I am getting nothing

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

Hi, has the workbook been saved? If not, filename will return blank.

Hi, has the workbook been saved? If not, filename will return blank.
As strange as it is, this issue has never appeared before.
So I opened the last working file and resaved it, then refreshed it and it worked again as expected

Thanks for the insight, I will have to retain that piece of knowledge in case it happens again.
