I am trying to figure out this formula in excel and need a little help. What I have is a list of numbers that relate to certain places. I set up a formula to give me the lowest number and that works fine. What I need to know is how I can now set up a cell to show the corresponding place to that low number.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
If you use a table-like setup with 2 columns (number and place) a simple VLOOKUP function will do. What is the layout of your data?

The locations are on the left column, so say A1 through A20. In the middle of the table there is a bunch of data. In the last column, say H1 through H20 are the number totals.

Below that is a title that says location with lowest numbers.

Then,

if A30 is the cell with the minimum

=INDEX(A1:A20,MATCH(A30,H1:H20,0))
