Cell names being displayed at different zoom levels

I've noticed at times, and this does not seem to be consistent, that when adding a name to a cell the Name itself is displayed across the cell. The display will disappear if I choose a higher level of zoom (40% or more).
The text size seems to be automatically selected according to the cell/range size and bears no relationship to the text format or size.
It's not a real problem, it does not print, it's just annoying when working with a busy spreadsheet
Has anyone seen this phenonema and know of a way to prevent it?

Thanks in Advance

Martin

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Hi Martin

Yes, at 39% and below you'll get cell ranges displayed that are at least 2 cells. I do not know of any way to disable this functionality.

Hi Richard,

Have found that switching to Page Break view seems clear this display anomalie. Could be a useful feature but the display text size changes with the size ofthe range it applies to which can be difficult to work with.

Many thanks for your input
