I have a pivot table I created.
It has 2 levels (I have a + that opens a the details list and then a - that closes the details so that the details are not visibale)
I want to refer to a cell in the pivot.
The getpivotdata function or even a regular =
does not get me the correct data when the details are not visibale (with the + option)
HELP!

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
GETPIVOTDATA only gets data that is visible ... that's the way it works. What are you trying to do exactly? Maybe if you described your requirements someone could provide a non-pivottable solution. When I do this kind of thing I made the pivottable show all fields that I may want to link to ... if I need a pivottable for hiding sections and removing fields I have anothe pivottable for that ( you can have multiple pivottables off your data ).
