Cell references

Hi:
Hope someone will be able to help with this. One of my formulas references a cell from another worksheet as part of its calculation. However, this cell being referenced does move around because various sorts are being performed, resulting in incorrect values. Is there a way to reference a cell regardless of whether it moves or not?

e.g. formula
='sheet2'!I38*C8/60

The cell I38 in sheet2 is liable to move.

Thanks

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
If you have a column that has unique text you could use this in a lookup formula to return the value.

If you don't, consider adding a column at the start numbered from 1 to whatever then use this in the lookup.

Thanks for that! The value is indeed unique...is there a more elegant way of doing this?
