Cell references in formulas must be entered in uppercase, and spaces cannot be added before or after arithmetic operators, is that true?

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
1. If you enter cell references in lower case Excel converts them to upper case.

2. Excel ignores spaces in formulas.

3. Enter this formula and see what happens:

=a1 + b1

In Excel 2000 you can enter cell references in lower case, but they'll get changed to upper. You can insert spaces after arithmetic operations 1.e:

=COUNT(A1:A4000) + H3
