Cell referencing with adding text

Hi!

How do I reference a cell in another workbook, but have file name change dynamically. I've tried concatenating a string, but i keep getting a value error.
This is what I want to do:

cellReference&"Sheet1'!A1"

where cellReference is:

'C:\Data\[filename.xlsx]

Welcome to the Board!

To dynamically build a cell reference, you need to make use of the INDIRECT function.

Is there a way to do it with the workbook closed though and using the real path?

I am pretty sure that the Workbook needs to be open, to reference a cell in it.
I am not sure what you mean by "using the real path". As opposed to what?
