Cell saying NOT BLANK when it is BLANK

HI,

I am trying to identify an issue, i have a column of comments and a column next to it with a formula =IF(ISBLANK(D6),"Blank","Not Blank") however it is saying cells are NOT BLANK when they actually are blank.

i press enter or delte on the cell and the formula works fine, i even tried =Code(D6) returned #Value which i believe means it is empty yet excel is still trying to tell me this cell is not empty, there are no spaces or anything in the cell if i press enter on the cell which is blank the cell works fine any ideas what's going on.

Sounds like you have copy/pasted values in D6 & have therefore got nullstrings
