Hello,

I've got a slightly strange problem in which to keep the default white background from causing headaches, I selected all cells in a tab and used "Fill Color" to insert light gray. The problem is that none of the cells will accept a new fill color, nor will the "No Fill" remove the light gray that I applied. It's as if I'ved stained this particular tab in my spread sheet and can't get the stain out.

The other tabs in the workbook respond as expected using both manual, and scripted manipulations.

Any Ideas?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
No protection is applied, to make sure I even ran a quick and dirty activesheets.unprotect in addition to manually setting and removing protection. Still no luck, I may just have lousy Karma... hmmm.

I've accidentally figured out the problem. I had a line of code for test purposes that set the print area to a single cell far off to the right most / bottom most cell of the spread sheet. The graying was covering the area excluded from the defined print area.

Thank you very much for trying to assist with this very silly  issue.
