Has anyone run into this before?
I am using 2007 in XP.

Basically, I unlock all cells in column A, save with protection, and it allows me to paste in that column but nowhere else in the spreadsheet.

That's exactly what I want, and it works.

However, I am pasting data from a browser (i.e. HTML data), and each time I do that, the column gets locked again!!!

It doesn't bother me per se, but when other people use the spreadsheet, they will get confused.

Does anyone know how to prevent this automatic locking of cells when pasting HTML? This is simple HTML - text only - and could be solved with paste-special-values-text but not everyone will know how to do that.
