Cells M6 - M15 are populated with a formula like this:

=IF(K6="",$K$5*$D6,$K6*$D6)

It is looking at a default value in cell K5. This default value applies to all cells K6 - K15 under two conditions:

First and foremost, the corresponding cell in column D is populated. If it isn't, then the corresponding cell in column M should be empty. If column D is populated, then column K comes into play and a value should display in M. This is working properly.

Second, column K can either be manually populated, it could also pull the default value from K5 or be empty because the corresponding cell in column D is empty.

Here's the problem I need to solve. When column D is populated and column K is not manually populated, the cells in column K "appear" to be empty, not displaying any value at all, even though the formula above (residing in column M) calculates using the value in K5. I need K6 - K15 to display the value in K5 if/when it applies.... column D has a value and nothing has manually been placed in K.

All my formulas calculate the way needed, it just a visual issue, when a cell "appears" to be empty, but is actually using the value in K5 for a calculation in the corresponding M cell, I need that value to display in the corresponding K cell.

If I need another column, one that can be hidden, that's fine. Is it possible the solution lies within conditional formatting?

Thank you in advance.
