Center checkboxes in ranges

was reading on here that you could macro center checkboxes in cells. I tried the example but it did not work at all; it moved checkboxes over others and made it look like they got deleted. The boxes were not at all centered And some got moved down a row.

I guess i need info on how to set variables as a Range Object and how to work with them.

My checkbox ranges are d9-d22, i8-i22 and m8-m22. I understand how the centering is supposed to work but not how to specify each cell of each range, one at a time.
