Hi all,

I am looking to highlight what time is left on a particular job

F2 has weekly hours worked
Col J has allowed hours for the job
Col K has taken hours so far

L:NG has dates (within these dates we have "In" when the job started)

So i would like the hours from "In" to highlight what time is left based on what Col K indicates to the closest Day in columns L:NG

each cell denotes a calendar day (Weekday only)

ie, a job would be given 74 hours to complete and 20 has been used leaving 50 remaining could this be highlighted using CF

The hours left would be as follows totaling 32 hours

Mon 7 hours
Tues 7 hours
Wed 7 hours
Thu 7 hours
Fri 4 hours

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
I was thinking if the days in the range are set by hours then this may be easier to calculate
