change all cells in a columns format?

its simple I just cant get it..

change the format of all the cells in one column from General to text

any ideas?

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

select the column, right click, select format cells..., select the number tab, select text, hit OK
