hey,

I need a macro that would change the colour of a cell based on the selection of text from a drop down list, the drop down list contains 8 selections, each selection needs to be assigned its own colour.

Example:
"sick no M/C" = red
"sick M/C" = pink
"rec" = green
"LWOP" = blue
"LSL" =
"carers" =
"BL" =
"48/52" =
"Late" =

as well as the text from the drop down list there will be a date in each cell as well, i am not sure how if this effects things.
I use windows xp 2000
Thanks

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
