I am new here so please bear with me...
I am trying to conditionally format a cell to change color based on whether the cell is blank or not. The trick is I need it to relate to a date in another cell and if it is 45 days prior to that date and the cell is still blank, then it would highlight red.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)

Hi and welcome,

Try using this as the formula in your conditional formatting:

=AND(A1="",B1-TODAY()<45)

where A1 is the cell with the formatting and B1 contains the date in question.

Hi and welcome to the Board!!!

Not sure what you want, but here's how you might do it
Say your data cell is A1 and you Blank Cell is B1. In CF, use Formula Is for B1
You may need
Code:
=(Today()-45<$A1)*$B1="")or
 =($A1-45 < Today())*($B1="")<TODAY())*($B1="") p or<> or
=(A1+45>TODAY())*($B1="")
I'm not sure what you are after.
Good Luck
