Hi,

I have created the following formula - =IF(A2=31,$A$1+1,A2+1) - which creates a rolling date/number between 1 & 31. I want the rows to follow when the date changes i.e. change the first cell, A2 to 02/01/17, all cells will change but, i want B2 or the row, to follow that date.

Start is
B2 C2
A2 01/01/2017 Brian Coles
A3 02/01/2017 Bob Downie
A4 03/01/2017 Dave Smith

Change is

A2 02/01/2017 Bob Downie
A3 03/01/2017 Dave Smith

Kind regards,

Gary Bray.

Your question is not really clear.
I have created the following formula - =IF(A2=31,$A$1+1,A2+1)
What cell is this formula in?

which creates a rolling date/number between 1 & 31
And how exactly are you using/incorporating this on your worksheet?

It appears that the spacing on your example got messed up, so it is hard to understand how your data is really line up. There are tools you can use to post screen images. They are listed in Section B of this link here: Guidelines for Forum Use. Also, there is a Test Here forum on this board that you can use to test out these tools to make sure they are working correctly before using them in your question.

Or, if you use Code tags around your data, it will maintain spacing. But note that you will have to play around with that a bit to get it to line up properly. In the Advanced Editor, you can use the "Preview Post" to see what the data will look like before posting it. So I just go back and forth with this until I have things looking nice and then post it.
