Hi,

I have a word mail merge document that references an Excel spreadsheet as a datasource (both word and excel are 2007 versions).

We have just moved the excel spreadsheet onto a server so now instead of the spreadsheet being in:

C:\somedirectory\spreadsheet.xlsm,

it now resides in:

N:\somedirectory\spreadsheet.xlsm

Is there an easy way to change the C: to an N: in word without having to go and redo the whole mailmerge?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Which way is the Mail Merge being created? If from word you only have to change the source. So you would open the Mail Merge Document and using the wizard navigate to the step to select Source then search for the N drive.

Or is this done from Excel Side?

Is there any VBA to automate this?

Thanks for replying Trevor,

It's from the Word side, I created it using the Mail Merge in Word, if I use the wizard to change it then it asks which tab within the workbook I want to use and then makes me re-add all the fields (basically re-creating the merge from scratch) which I don't want to do as it's quite a complicated merge.
