hi,

in vba, how can you change the number properties of a cell to the local date format?

for example, if i use
Selection.NumberFormat = "m/d/yyyy"

this won't be good when someone in america uses my sheet.
how can i do it then?

Try

Code:
Sub test()
Dim myfmt As String
Select Case Application.International(xlDateOrder)
    Case 0: myfmt = "m/d/yyyy"
    Case 1: myfmt = "d/m/yyyy"
    Case 3: myfmt = "yyyy/m/d"
End Select
Selection.NumberFormat = myfmt
