Hello:
if i have a list of names with first name first and last name last
IE. (John Smith)

is there a formula to have it so that the last name comes first and then the first name? would be like this Smith John.

thank you in advance for your help.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
If your names do not have commas or more than one space, this formula should work:

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-SEARCH(" ",A1))&" "&LEFT(A1,SEARCH(" ",A1))

It should work for converting John Smith to Smith John.

If your data is John J Smith, this formula will not work.
