Change uppercase to lower case

I have a 4000 line report where each surname is Uppercase, is there any way of making them all lowercase except for the first character of the surname ie make SMITH appear as Smith?

Hi,

Is each surname in it's own cell e.g.

A1 = SMITH
A2 = SMTIH
A3 = SMITH

ect?

If so, into e.g. B1 type =PROPER(A1) and copy down.
