Ok, here is what I am trying to accompish:

I have a drop down list in which the user selects the month.

I have three cells below that which represent the three months previous. They are labeled RCM1, RCM2, and RCM3. I would like to change the value of those cells to their appropriate month depending on the month selected at the top.

The user input sheet is on "Sheet1" the list data is on "Sheet2".

The month is selected from list "Month".

I want the RCM1, RCM2, and RCM3 to be replaced by the appropriate values in list "Short_Mo".

I just can not figure out how to make this happen, or if it is even possible.

Here is a link to the actual workbook I am using (stripped of non-pertinent information) which has everything in the exact place it is located on the functional workbook.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Here you go, this should work
rcm1 =DATE(2013,MATCH($H$1,Month,0)+8,1)
rcm2 =DATE(2013,MATCH($H$1,Month,0)+7,1)
rcm3 =DATE(2013,MATCH($H$1,Month,0)+6,1)

Format these cells with custom number format - custom - "mmm"
(select 1 of these cells, hit CTRL 1, select custom, then type "mmm" over the word "general")
