changing a formula help

hi All,

I have the below formula that returns the value of £0.00 in words but I want to change the formula to add two cells V4 and V12 together but I cant get it to work.

any ideas on how I do this.

=IF(P8="Total Contract Sum","£0.00","")

Do you mean something like this?

=IF(P8="Total Contract Sum",V4+V12,"")

Or is something else going on?
