Changing a setting in my workbook

When I use Shift + F11 to add a worksheet, it adds three. I have looked through the Excel Options for a setting to take this to one worksheet, but can not find it. Where can I set this to create only one worksheet.

Hi and welcome to the board.

If you look closely at the menu items you will see some letters have an underscore, i.e., Insert.

This means you can use the Alt key + this letter as a shortcut.
So Alt + i opens the Insert menu.

On the Insert menu the shortcut for a worksheet is W

Therefore, to insert a single worksheet, the combination is, holding down each key:
Alt + i + w
