Hi everyone,

I am currently working Excel 2016 on Windows.

So I managed to create a simple clustered column chart on Excel. I have my x (company name) and y values (revenue). However, I want to be able to highlight the bar of one particular company name so that no matter how I present the data on the chart, that one particular company name's bar is highlighted. I tried to to just click the individual bar and fill it in with another color than the rest but when I change the sorting of the data, the colored bar does not change with the company name. It is an absolute reference and not relative.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Try using an extra series for that company and set the Series Overlap to 100 %.
