Dear All
I want to type the letter "N" in cell F2 and automatically change the infill colour (not font colour) of cells "F3 to F5" to "Red", also if I type "W" into cell F2 I want cells "F3 to F5" to change background colour to light blue, and finally if I type "L" into cell F2 then I want cells "F3 to F5" to be uncoloured. I have tried everything from recording a macro and copying the code to searching help data base. Can anyone help.
Regards

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Welcome to the board.

You need to use conditional formatting, suggest searching for that. Depending on which Excel version you're using will determine how many conditions you can have

Thanks mate

I have managed to change the fill colour of cell F2 depending on wether I type "L"(change to no fill colour), "N"( change to fill colour red) or "W"(change to fill colour blue), but I cant get cells "G2 to M2" to automatically change colour when I type "L", "N" or "W" into cell F2.
Any suggestions.
PS this is the last thing I need to do to complete this spreadsheet.......
Thanks
