Changing Data Format in a data table

I have a data table that is linked with a graph. The points plotted on the graph are shown in short form i.e. 30,000,000 is represented as 30.00 along the graph. However in the data table it is entered in as 30,000,000. I want to change the way it appears on the data table to match the way it looks along the graph. Is that possible? Thanks in advance!

How do I modify the code to customize it?

What is your current code?

You did not mention code in your original posting; I thought your data table was an Excel range. If it is an Excel range, select the cells and then custom format them as indicated.

Best regards,

The data table is pulling from another data source. Is it possible to access the code still? When I right click it only gives me options to change the font and not the normal format options such as number, currency, pecentage and how many decimal places I want to be displayed. How would I get to the code in the data table to send to you? Thanks.

Just so I'm clear on what you've got (never graphed from an external data source before), your graph is not based on an Excel range. Is that correct?

I believe it pulls from a range, on another sheet. The best I can explain it is like this:

Sheet B has a graph and a data table (with the information shown on the graph in a format I would like to change)

Sheet A has the data being used for the graph and data table.

Sorry I can't explain it better. I think that would be considered using a range. When I right click on the data table it gives me these two options:

Format Data Table...
Clear...

So I picked the Format Data Table. Then the two tabs in the pop up box are patterns and font. In that font box there is no way to change how the numbers appear in the data table.

I hope that makes it clearer. Thanks again for your help.

A shot in the dark, try formatting the data on Sheet A using the custom formatting I gave you.

Does this work for you?
