Changing data refresh options to optimize file size

I am studying for the Excel Expert Exam 2007 and there is one sub-section under the link data to an external source section that asks that one be able to change data refresh options to optimize file size.

The only thing I've been able to find is a support article from Microsoft Optimizing PivotTable Performance that speaks about optimizing pivot table performance: where they speak about turning the layout option off when saving using the PT wizard will result in "cached data is not saved with your workbook. As a result, the amount of time necessary for saving your file will decrease as will the file size"

How does one do this in Excel 2007 though, where does one find this option?

Thanks
