I have dates in two columns which are in different formats. I want to convert them in the format MM/DD/CCYY. When i give this format some dates do get changed but some don't. How to solve this problem.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
you will need to attach the excel with both the date formats...only then will someone will be able to find out what exactly the problem is...

The dates that don't change are text entries that look like dates. You should be able to convert them to serial dates using Data|Text To Columns and specifying the date format at Step 3 of the Wizard.

All those converted to serial dates when I chose Data|Text To Columns and selected Date DMY at Step 3 of the Wizard.
