Changing date when open

Hi guys,

Can anybody give me a clue how to avoid that excel changes the file time and date in Windows when opening an excel-file??

What do you mean by "file time and date in Windows"?

It only changes the system date and time in explorer while the file is open....when you close the file without saving it will revert back to the date and time when it was last saved.

You could try to open as read-only and maybe it wouldn't change the date.
