I already know how to do conditional formatting to make ever other line a color to make it easier to read =MOD(ROW(),2)=1

so my problem is, how can I make it that I can still change the font color or even highlight a cell to a completely different color to draw attention to it? if I do the conditional formatting what ever the format that was chosen can not be changed.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Make sure that the other rules come before the row highlight rule.

Thank you! that did not necessarily work the way I wanted it too, but I figured it out anyway, at least about changing the font color. it had to be set as "No Color" in the conditional formatting which was not actually an option in the pull down menu. but after clicking around on some other options I found that but was still able to change the cell color to what I wanted
