I am using Office 2007, and I have a long list of names that match another long list of names that I am trying to use for a Vlookup formula with one expection, the names need to add two spaces before the wording begins. The cell where I want ex: (Cars) too looke like ( Cars) is B6. Is it possible to do a formula that adds two spaces infront on the "C" in Cars for example so I do not have to go through and manually change all these listings. Thank you so much for any assitance you can provide and if you have any further questions please feel free to ask them and I will get back to you.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
=vlookup(" "&A1,tabledata,column,false)
this will add the two spaces for the data starting from area

Welcome to the Board!

Instead of adding spaces to your text, I'd use TRIM to remove them. This way you don't have to worry about how many spaces you might have.
