When making charts in Excel, Excel uses default colours settings which can be changed in the workbook (Tools-Options-Colour). These however are applicable to the workbook and need to be changed from default setting to 'my setting' each time i open a new worksheet/workbook. How do i change the settings from default settings to 'my colour setting' each time a new workbook is opened?

Hello and welcome to MrExcel.

You can create a template. File > Save As > File Type > MS Excel Template(*.xlt). Name it BOOK and save to your XLSTART folder. This will become the default New Workbook when you go to File > New or the New File icon. Note: if you go to File > New ... Blank workbook, you will get the Excel default workbook, not your template.
