I have made the following functing using the book but i don't know how to run that anyone please help.Regards,

Private Function chartisselected() As Boolean
Dim x As String
chartisselected = False
On Error Resume Next
x = ActiveChart.Name
If Err = 0 Then chartisselected = True
End Function

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
the following chartisselected function returns true if a chart sheet is active or if an embedded chart is activated, and returns false if a chart is not activated.

The problem is I don't know how to use it.
