I've been pottering about with chart reports in access. The chart wizard is fine, although that: north, east, south, west, that sometimes comes up in design view is very irritating. But even more annoying, is that, even though I used the properties box in the query the chart takes it's data from, to give the column names I want (Caption), in the chart it still comes up with e.g. sumofwhatever. Do you think there is a way round this?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)

I should have looked at the Select As. It's hard to see right in front of you.

Glad you got it.

I'm not a huge fan of charts in Access -- they work but I reckon they are user hostile. Still, once you have one set up you shouldn't have to touch it again... :)

Microsoft seem to have given up trying to make them simpler to work with, or just haven't bothered. Either way, they're very fickle to work with.
