Hi

I'm trying to set up a new chart with dates on the X axis and pace (m:ss) on the Y axis.

The range is correct for both. The dates are displaying correctly on the X axis but the Y axis only displays 0:00 for all the entries and I don't understand why, as the Edit Series box shows a sample of the pace values in the expected format.

Help would be appreciated!

Thank you.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hello Ironman. Would something like this work below? Hope this helps get you started.

Hi goesr, many thanks for trying to help me.

The Pace axis is in the custom format m:ss and that's where the difficulty lies - my apologies for omitting to state this.

Sorry - I misunderstood m:ss. Have you tried converting m:ss to just seconds (1m:32ss = 92) and then plotting pace in seconds per date?

That's a good suggestion goesr but I'd like to avoid a helper column if I can.

We will not be defeated!!! I hope you can understand what I did to get the orange graph. I had to first create a graph using data formatted as General to get the dates and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I then had to paste the data formatted as h:mm:ss where the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 were. This converted the graph to h:mm:ss and you always have 0 for the h (unless you are VERY slow - but as an "Ironman" that shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps get you started. See below.

Hi goesr, many thanks for all the time you've taken on this.

I've followed your suggestion and it worked perfectly, thank you!

The problem I have is Excel doesn't like the size of the range (Jan 2018 to date) so the axis looks great but the data isn't so great :)
