Having problems coding a chart. After Activating the chart and trying to give it a tile, I get errors.

Public Sub loadchart()
Worksheets("Main").ChartObjects(1).Activate
With ActiveChart

End With

works with no problem, when I add the following code I get errors,

Public Sub loadchart()
Worksheets("Main").ChartObjects(1).Activate
With ActiveChart
.HasTitle = true

End With

the error is:
Run-time Error '1004' Method 'HasTitle' of object '_Chart' failed

I have tryed almost every example of the help file and on the web, no luck!
HELP!
Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

Code:
Public Sub loadchart()

    Worksheets("Main").ChartObjects(1).Activate
    With ActiveChart
        .HasTitle = True
        .ChartTitle.Characters.Text = "Test"
    End With

So this won't work?

Try accessing the chart object first.

<font face=Courier New><span style="color:#00007F">With</span> Worksheets("Main").ChartObjects(1).Chart
    .HasTitle = <SPAN style="color:#00007F">True</SPAN>
    .ChartTitle.Text = "Main Chart"
<SPAN style="color:#00007F">End With</span></FONT>

Can you try to record a macro and see what happens? Tools | Macros | Record Macro

Then manually change the chart title and see what code excel writes for you. Is it different from what has been posted?
