I have a user who has created a column chart. His Y-axis scale goes from 0 to 16,000,000, in increments of 2,000,000. This user wants to scale to go from 0 to 6,000,000 then skip to 14,000,000. In other words, he wants the numbers from 6M to 14M to not exist on his chart.

I don't have a clue how to do this. Does anyone else? I have looked at Jon Peltier's site and didn't find anything there either.

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
Thank you, Jon. This is exactly what he wants.

Okay, this is driving me crazy....

My user's chart is a Column chart using a table like the following:

May June July
London 1,234,565 1,452,369 1,478,852
Paris 2,363,645 14,568,876 8,562,413
Madrid 12,645,254 3,211,654 6,857,421
Brussels 6,914,753 9,544,221 3,620,015
Lisbon 5,824,676 7,541,258 4,015,876
Munich 2,501,478 6,325,698 4,569,872

We want the Y-axis to be 0, 1,000,000, 2,000,000, 3,000,000, 4,000,000, 5,000,000, 6,000,000, 14,000,000, 15,000,000, 16,000,000.

I can't make it work. Tushar-Mehta's tutorial works but this one doesn't and I am about to scream...........HELP!!!!!!!

Sorry, Jon. I cannot get to this page. I can get to the Excel page, but when I try to go to Samples/Broken_Y_Example.zip I get a page does not exist error. Can you email the zip file to me?

I checked my profile and my email address is there. However, one of my co-workers go to your site and I got what I need that way.

Thanks,
Shirlene

Duh, I was looking for the text of an email address. I didn't know pushing the button would take care of it for me. All these modern conveniences....
