Hi, I've been looking for a solution all over, but none so far...

I want to create a chart and export it to a .gif file.

The problem is that I DONT want to FIRST draw it on a sheet or in a chartsheet, but only in memory and then set the chartobject to null after the .gif part

Is it possible to create the chartobject "virtually" (and not in a worksheet or chartsheet)?

Regards

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
No, it isn't, I'm afraid.

You could use vba to generate chart data and make a chart, transport it to a .gif then remove the chart data and delete the chart... as if the chart never existed. Sort of the same? Dave

Just a shot in the dark but I guess you could also keep the chart's visible Property as False throughout its creation so you don't notice anything.
