I'm creating a chart based on Jan '04 and Jan'05. Both worksheets are in the same workbook. I'm having trouble naming the X axis with Jan '04 and Jan '05. I THINK I've done this before, but am having a severe case of a SENIOR moment....... :devilish:

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I think if you choose Source Data, then select Series, then you can use the Add button on the left to select the appropriate range. Is this what you meant?

(I have senior moments all the time - that's why they call me Grandpa!)

I have a bar chart with both Jan '04 and Jan '05, but am trying to label the appropriate bars in the chart. Iknow it's the source data, but can't seem to get the right information to appear.

Right-click one of the bars (so all are selected) and choose Selected Object. Then Data Labels, then Category Name.
