Hello Everyone:

I have a chart based on cell range: ='deptinfo'!$a8:$B$23

The problem I have is that the amount of rows could change from 23 to 50. I don't want to have to built the chart everytime I import data into sheet deptinfo.

Question is, is there a way that excel can detect when there are more an 23 rows? It works fine when there are less than 23 but not when there are more.

I guess I want my chart to detect in column B all the way down until there is no more data and plot on the chart

THanks.

You can use a dynamic named range.

Here's an untested example:

=OFFSET(deptinfo!$A$7,0,0,COUNTA(deptinfo!$A:$A),2)
