Hello,

I have some historical data in one sheet and have created a second sheet with new data. On my line chart I would like to continue the line that shows the historical data with the new data (from the new sheet).

The X-axis shows dates and the Y-axis is values.

Is there a away to "join" two sets of data like this? In an experiment, I tried playing around with "=Sheet1!$B$1:$B$13+Sheet2!$B$1:$B$12" in Series Values but Excel does not seem to like that.

I also need to do the same thing in the Axis Label Range, but I assume whatever works for the Series Value will also work for the label range.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello,

can you not add the historical data into your new sheet, then create a line graph of this data?

You could add the historical data as a series as well as the new data. Play around with fonts.

Might be useful?

Thanks for the response. Copying and pasting the data from the old sheet into the new sheet is an option, but since it is about five years of near-daily readings I am trying to avoid that. If I just hide the data, or group it, then it won't show up in the graph.
