Charts not displaying when code is stopped via a MsgBox

I have a code module that sequentially opens around 40 files so that I can verify the data in the files has been properly updated before I send the files out via email. Initially when I created this code module, I simply used code breaks to pause execution at three different points. I recently decided to use MsgBox as a means of pausing the code.

The issue is that after adding the MsgBox stops, when viewing the worksheet that has 2 charts, the charts no longer display properly. All I see is a placeholder indicating the charts exist. See attached photos.

Any idea why this may be happening?

PS. I tried adding a 2 second pause using 'waittime' to see if that would help but it doesn't.
All personally identifiable data has been blacked out.

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Is screen updating turned off in your VBA Code prior to the msgbox?

Is screen updating turned off in your VBA Code prior to the msgbox?
No. Only 1 screen updating entry and it is set to True. The only difference between the 2 scenarios is the MsgBox line to allow visual verification.
Thanks for the suggestion.
