OK im a little new to all this but find it great fun my problem is , I would like to do a bar chart but instead of using numerical data for bars I would like to use letters can this be done and if it can HOW any help woud be much appreciated, Thank's.

How would you scale your y axis? Post back with more info on your problem...

Thanks Paddy, I have been using the numbers 0 and 1 in cell's to show buildings that I have checked and passed 0 being not passed and 1 being passed I woul like to use a third variable for not checked. but also instead of numbers would like to use letters:
eg: P for passed, N/P for not passed and N/C for not checked the problem is I can't get a graph up and displayed using letter's is there a way around this. Thanks for the quick reply Sean.

So what would your chart look like? Counts of N/C's?? Post back with what you mean by 'graphed up'.

Thanks Paddy, all I mean by Graph Up is that I cant get the graph displayed because I think the cells will only display data in numerical form as oppose to letters (A, N/A, N/C.) Would I be right in thinking that.

Basically, yes - numbers only in the data area of the graph, but again - what are you actually tryiung to do here - detail the outcone you're looking for & there's usually a work around to get an acceptable result.
