Check box

I asked this question the other day, but really don't know how to work in macros.

I have a check box (a12). I want another cell to (c12) to show up 35 if true and blank if false.

I am working in word now (not Mac).

Please help. I am not sure where to put the macro. DO I click on the cell with the check box (a12) or the cell where I want the 35 to show up.

Where do I go to do the macro.

Isn't there just a simple formula instead of a macro =if(....?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
In Cell C12 enter:

=IF(A12=TRUE,35,"")

I assume you are using the Control-type Checkbox,
with the linked cell property set to A12.

I'm still not sure

Ok _ I got the formula and put it in in c12. I have linked the check box to a12. I just get true or flase when I check or uncheck.

Please provide step by step. I am not very experienced.

Thanks

TRUE or false would be CELL A12.
If you look at C12 when you check and uncheck you wil see it is either 35 or "" as per Jims formula which works fine for me.
If its the fact you can see the true or false statment, you need to format the checkbox in cell A12 perhaps?
