Hi,

I am querying account numbers from a column called 'Trade Ref'. I would like to find all rows where the 'Trade Ref' ends in a letter, how do I do this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
In the criteria for the field Trade Ref, place the following:

Like *"[a-z]"

One way:
Code:
SELECT
	Table1.[Trade Ref]
FROM
	Table1
WHERE
	((Asc(UCase(Right(NZ([Trade Ref]),1))))>64)
	And
	((Asc(UCase(Right(NZ([Trade Ref]),1))))<91)
	;

Assuming the table name is Table1 - edit as needed.

ξ

Edit:
^^ dope. Much better in Alan's post. I always forget you can use character classes with Access wildcards.
