I am looking for a way to do a condition for my VBA where in the beginning of the code it checks if a workbook is open and if open it closes it. Anyone able to assist?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Try this:

VBA Code:
Sub test()
  On Error Resume Next
  Workbooks("Book1.xlsx").Close False
  On Error GoTo 0
End Sub

Try this:

VBA Code:
Sub test()
  On Error Resume Next
  Workbooks("Book1.xlsx").Close False
  On Error GoTo 0
End Sub
[CODE=vba]Option Explicit

Sub tryit()
If WorkbookIsOpen("Book2.xls") Then
Workbooks("Book2.xls").Close False
End If
End Sub

Function WorkbookIsOpen(WorkbookName As String) As Boolean
On Error Resume Next
WorkbookIsOpen = Workbooks(WorkbookName).Name = WorkbookName
End Function
[/CODE]
Thank you sir. I also found this and seems to work as well :)
