"Check " mark (V) - where is it hiding???

Hi all,

Seems simple but I can't find how to put the "check sign" in a cell.
It is not the check box I am looking for, it is only the "v" character.

I usually open the Windows character map and copy it from there (Wingdings).


Otherwise Copy this into the cell and change the font to Wingdings - ü

Thanks for the quick answer.
I actually have wingdings fonts in my menu but how can I see the map?
Any way what ALT(nnn) is it?

It's OK I've found it in weddings using SHIFT A

Eli,

Open the Charcarter map from your Start-Programs-Accessories menu on the Windows task bar (Sorry not Windows Excel menu bar) You may have to fish around a bit for it as it is in different places on different versions of Windows.

Done with keyboard:

1. Select first WINDINGS.
2. Type: ALT and from numeric keyboard 0252.

This works for me. When using ALT + 252, I do not get checkmark.
