Check Range Values Against Separate Range

Alright, first time posting was yesterday and you guys saved me! This next question's easy too, but as I stated yesterday, I'm very new to VBA.

Situation:
I want to compare values from one range to values to another range and color differentiate the True values and False values.

Here's what I have: (note - I'd like to keep K column values static and controlled by me, not found by Excel)

Sub ranger()
Dim Range1 As Range, Range2 As Range

Set Range1 = Worksheets("Extract").Range("K2:K204")
Set Range2 = Worksheets("Extract").Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row

For Each Cell In Range1

If Not InterSect(Range2, Range1) Is Nothing Then

ActiveCell.Interior.ColorIndex = 32

Else

ActiveCell.Interior.ColorIndex = 35

End If
Next
End Sub


However, anytime I run the code, it only colors my current selection and only colors it 35. How do I compare only 'K' values and all 'K' values?

I think you misundertood what the Intersect() function does...

It doesn't compare the values in two ranges, it compares the cell addresses of two ranges and identifies the cell addresses which they have in common.

If you have Range1 and Range2, then Intersect(Range1,Range2) returns the range coloured in yellow below, regardless of the values in the cells:-

If you want to compare the values in the cells, you'll need to cycle through the individual cells one at a time, I think.

If you want to compare all the values in Range1 with all the values in Range2 and highlight any which are in common, then as far as I'm aware you'd have to use nested loops something like this:-

The reason your code only ever highlights the active cell is that, although you're cycling through the cells in Range1, you never change the active cell, and your colour change statement is applied to the active cell.

Seriously, I'm at my wits end with this one. I cannot figure out what to do.

Your Range2 isn't valid: Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row returns a row number, not a range.

Perhaps you mean:-

Also, you should remove this line:-
